My beginnings in martial arts started when I was about 10 years old. At that time, I practiced judo for several years until I got a green belt. Around the age of 20, I started watching mma fights on DVDs that a friend of mine owned. At the time, two main organizations arranged this type of fight : the famous UFC and Pride, a Japanese organization where anything - or almost - was allowed. The fighters were specialists in a discipline where oppositions of styles were commonplace. Very quickly I was impressed by the members of the Gracie family who excelled in their art and won many fights, despite a considerable difference in weight. It was Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, called Minotauro, who really made me want to start Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Epic battles have brought him to the top. It didn't take much longer for the fire to ignite in me. Since, he has never died. To my great regret, no Brazilian jiu-jitsu club existed in my area at that time. In 2006, I therefore decided to start karate and aiki-jutsu, which I practiced for ten years. I got a black belt in these disciplines. It was finally in April 2010 that I really started Brazilian jiu-jistu, at Gun’s 36 in La Chaux-de-Fonds. My teacher, José Mario Rangel, 4th degree black belt from the Gracie Floripa School, taught me most of the techniques I know today. We then had a few difficult years where we regularly changed schools (A.S. Team, Icon, Gracie Barra, Bjj4Life) and teachers (Filipe Maia, Rickson Pontes). But we held on and I continued to progress, enriched by the different approaches taught by my teachers. I thus put on my blue belt (2012), my purple belt (2013) and brown (2016). It was in 2016 that I started to be an instructor for our young team Bjj4Life. We finally managed to bring stability to our team by depositing our suitcases at Sportlab in 2017 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, an establishment managed by Alain Hermès. Since then, we have been constantly growing and developing. In 2019, we created our own team with our Sensei and long-time friend, Domingos Ciccarino, 2nd degree black belt, also a pupil of Mario Rangel. Today, therefore, it is under the banner of Lost Breed Bjj that I continue my practice of Brazilian jiu-jistu as an instructor. In October 2020, I finally got my black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. During all these years, I took part in several competitions where I won most of the time a medal. At the same time, I also practice grappling, MMA and thai boxing.
